He is known as the greatest Pop-Singer, dancer, lyricist, actor and an exclusive performer ever. Why else would we call him the King of Pop?

And it’s pretty easy to dress as Michael Jackson too. Not only are there loads of websites and pictures to look at, but there are also loads of Michael Jackson videos to watch to learn how to move like him too!

And you have no excuse to not be able to make a great Michael Jackson costume with all that research at your fingertips. Especially considering all the photos and music videos that have become so available over the years. And if you want to mix and match looks, hair styles, shoes, gloves, why not? It’s all possible.

Best of all, to pull off a great Michael Jackson look you will require minimum facial makeup and most of the things you wear will be accessories which can be bought from almost any costume store or online website. In fact, you can even wear surgical masks and the like if you want to have a unique, yet well known Michael Jackson look.

Many of us have done it because so many of us wanted to be like Mike! All his talent, musical and otherwise! And in some ways it has almost become cliche to do so for some fans of Michael Jackson, but hey, Elvis fans dress up like him all the time, right?! So what’s the problem dressing up in Michael Jackson outfits?

So what are some suggestions for Michael Jackson outfits? Well, you might want to dress up in a classic black fedora with a single white glove, maybe even wear some shiny penny loafer shoes or sparkly socks with tight black pants. The shoes have to be plain black.

One of the most important things to pay attention to when dressing up as Michael Jackson is his hair. You have to pay a lot of attention to the hair details because he did wear his hair in several different ways over the years.

And at this point you have two basic hair options. The first one is to get your own hair curled at a salon, but that is only if your hair is long enough already. The other option is to buy a Michael Jackson wig. You can just go to any costume store and ask for the “Michael Jackson wig” look.

Do remember, the proper Michael Jackson wig has to be black in color and come down to about  shoulder length. It could be curly in appearance, or super straight, and you can choose to give it a shiny look or even keep it normal. What now though? Is it okay to dress up as the King of Pop now that the legend has passed away? I think so. What could be a better memorial for him than dressing up in Michael Jackson outfits? And I’m not the only one of my friends who do it either – in fact there are a few of us who dress up in a sort of group Michael Jackson costume. All of us wearing a Michael Jackson costume from one decade or another. We definitely get a lot of head turning each Halloween!

I have more than one Michael Jackson costume in my own closet just waiting to be put on this Halloween. Perhaps some will make fun of me in my Michael Jackson outfits but I am willing to bet that I will get more complements that jeers. I always have in the past and I doubt that has changed since his passing.

I assume now, more than ever since Michael has passed, that Michael Jackson will be in the hearts and minds of his loyal fans even more than usual – we all miss him. But at least we still have his music and all those wonderful music videos that he so carefully made over the years. And our memories, well, I’m sure many of us have a favorite Michael Jackson memory too. Maybe it was a song, or a video or a dance move.

I also believe that we will see more sparkly clothes,  and black aviators to go with your look and loads of fake-diamond studded white gloves and socks this Halloween while people moon walk, “woo-hoo” and crotch grab their way across the room at parties all across the world.

Michael Jackson outfits, just like the man himself, and all his wonderful music, will be popular for years to come. At least I hope so. Don’t you? His fans still love him even though he has passed and his music will be played for years and years to come. And with time I’m sure his legend will grow making Michael Jackson costumes even more popular at Halloween and other holidays.

So with all of that in mind, please go out and put together your best Michael Jackson outfits ever! Glitter glove, sequins, leather jackets, military garb – you name it. When we see you wearing it we’ll know who you are.
