Kids Michael Jackson Costume
Making a kids Michael Jackson costume for Halloween can be done pretty easily if you plan ahead before you start.
And I hope you enjoy looking at a few of the many pre-done kids Michael Jackson costume options as you read the tips below in case you want to create your own Michael Jackson outfits.
But if you want to order any of the outfits or kids jackets you see here, just click on any of them to order right away or to learn more about them.
He may be gone, but there are tons of pictures and videos with Michael Jackson’s image out there to give you inspiration, as well, when putting your kids Michael Jackson costume together.
First of all, some of Michael Jackson’s most famous looks are probably the looks he wore in the “Beat It” video, the “Billie Jean” video, the Motown 25 Show, and the Thriller video.
He was also known for his love of military clothing, particularly jackets embellished with a lot of gold braid and medals which make for great kids Michael Jackson costume outfits.
For the look in the “Beat It” video, you need a plain white T-shirt, black pants cropped at the ankles, white socks, and black loafers.
The most important piece to get for the perfect kids Michael Jackson costume in this case would be a red leather jacket similar to the one you see in the video.
Try scouting thrift stores or other resale shops for a jacket with that 80′s feel to complete your kids Michael Jackson costume.
The red jacket they wear doesn’t have to be real leather, but it should be kind of short, and have a “tough guy” look to it, with lots of zippers.
The Motown 25 look is a little more complicated to pull off. You will need a white dress shirt, black cropped dress-style pants, white scrunchy looking socks embellished with sequins or sparkles, if possible, and black loafers to make this kids Michael Jackson costume.
A black or navy blue dress or tuxedo jacket, cut long and loose, embellished with sequins, would be the perfect jacket to recreate this look.
That may be hard to find, so a plain sparkly jacket will be a good substitute – another reason to visit a second hand store.
Complete this kids Michael Jackson costume with a black fedora, and the all-important silver white glove. The glove should definitely be glittery.
Sequins would be the most authentic choice, but if you’re on a tight budget, and not a great sewer, silver glitter would work fine. Just spread some glue all over the glove, shake on the glitter, and let it dry over night.
The “Thriller ” look could be done by wearing the black cropped pants, white shirt, white socks, and loafers with a Military style jacket in red, and zombie looking makeup.
Michael Jackson’s grooming in the early days almost always included black curly hair, worn fairly long. Get a wig to recreate this look easily if your child’s hair is the wrong length or wrong color in general.
Then have your kids practice up their best moonwalk and Michael yells and your child should be well on it’s way to having the best kids Michael Jackson costume in town.
So, Happy Halloween to all of you Michael Jackson fans, kids and adults alike!

Love it! Truly thrilled to see you touch on this issue, most individuals seem to blow right over it. Keep it up, I book marked your website and will keep checking on your posts as time goes on. Thank you!
Also – for everybody who said MJ was a sick man, take a great look at the clip they shot during his preparation for his show “This is it”. He was bouncing, VERY physical, and fully consistent. People have to to let their excitement go and make some inquiries before they react. I mean really.
Thanks for the great MJ Site! It is sooooooo Cool! I love all the great MJ costumes too!
My husband would flip out if he saw these costumes! Love the videos too – never thought about it before but maybe my husband could take the kids out trick or treating this year, both dressed as Michael. Hmmmmm…….
This is a really well done site, good job and I am glad that I came across it.
